Ms. Tabata is a Graduate student at Tamagawa University in Tokyo, Japan. Her major research interest is on ‘globalization on education’, especially focusing on ‘social integration’ and ‘social equity.’ She researches about ‘agency’ in education and sees immigrants as an important actor for the Japanese education system. With the advent of new immigration policy in Japan since April 2019, she has also developed her interest towards access to justice of minority groups in the country, including the children.
