Tanguy Lim
CEO – Pro Bono SG
Tanguy Lim serves as the CEO of Pro Bono SG (PBSG), a charity and Institution of Public Character in Singapore. In 2007, he left legal practice to serve as the Law Society of Singapore’s first Director of Pro Bono Services to implement its vision for the provision of pro bono legal services. Tanguy established its Pro Bono Services Office which initially functioned as a department within the Law Society. In 2017, it was corporatised and is now known as PBSG. A Tote Board scholar, Tanguy has over a decade of leadership experience in the non-profit sector. He is a passionate advocate for encouraging pro bono service by the legal profession and is a frequent speaker at international pro bono conferences. He specialises in fostering public-private-people partnerships to improve access to justice. In 2022, he received the President of Singapore’s Volunteerism & Philanthropy Leaders of Good Award, in recognition of his dedication to making a positive societal impact and inspiring others to contribute meaningfully. His current non-profit board service includes PILNet, an international NGO which connects civil society with legal expertise to address public interest challenges through strategic pro bono partnerships, and Kampong Kapor Community Services, which supports families and communities in Singapore through various social service programmes.
