Bio: Elizabeth Black manages White & Case’s legal education programs and volunteer activities globally. She helps develop strategy and implement the Firm’s global pro bono practice, charitable contributions and environmental sustainability initiative. Several of her current projects include managing White & Case’s support of the Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition throughout nearly all of its offices, implementing legal ethics training in Ghana and Russia, and helping to establish the African Centre on Law & Ethics in Accra, Ghana.Elizabeth’s career includes extensive work for nonprofits, the private sector and the government in legal education program development, philanthropy and policy analysis. Prior to joining White & Case, Elizabeth was the Executive Director of the International Law Students Association, a global nonprofit devoted to the promotion and study of international law, which administers the Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition. She also served as the Staff Director for the Education Committee in the Florida House of Representatives where she directed staff in drafting legislation and policy analysis, and consulting leadership, constituents and lobbyists on education issues.
Elizabeth received her law degree from Florida State University and an LL.M. in international and comparative law from Vrije Universiteit Brussel in Belgium.
