Bio: Gopinath is the Director of the Criminal Legal Aid Scheme (“CLAS”) in Singapore. The scheme provides legal representation for the needy in non-capital criminal offences. In this capacity, he also supervises work of the CLAS Fellows and Advocates, lawyers who work full time on CLAS cases under the Scheme.
