Hnin Hnin Yu is the Chairperson of Sex Workers network in Myanmar (SWiM) which is established in 2009. She was elected second time as a chair in the sex worker network. Prior to that, she worked in TOP/PSI and Alliance Myanmar as a project assistant for the projects that focus linkage to treatment for sex workers to increase access to HIV prevention and treatment services. she also worked as a counselor for peer sex workers. She has 12 years of experience in HIV prevention and treatment. She also involves in the drafting of sex workers law which is currently under review process in Myanmar. Her vision is to decrease punitive approaches toward sex work and to provide health, legal and social assistance to sex workers.
