ROLE UK Programme Manager
Naomi Barnard is the ROLE UK Programme Manager at A4ID and a member of the Senior Team. She is responsible for delivery of the Department for International Development-funded programme, building long-term partnerships between the UK legal sector and legal actors in developing countries to strengthen the rule of law and facilitate progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals.
Half-British and half-Japanese by way of the Middle East and New Zealand, Naomi is an international development professional with experience in social development and rule of law project and programme design and management. As well as working with a wide range of development, legal and private sector donors and partners, Naomi has experience in operations and management roles, and at Board level, within growing organizations in both the not for profit and private sectors.
Naomi is an enrolled barrister and solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand, and a qualified English language teacher, with an LLM in Human Rights from SOAS, University of London and an LLB and a BA in Politics and Japanese Language and Literature from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand.
