Roshani Poudyal is an Advocate and also academician as Asst. Prof. of Law. She holds a LL.M. degree from Tribhuvan University on human rights and international law. She has been enrolled for Ph.D. in law from 2017. Roshani practices law in the area of women rights, legal aid, employment, and constitutional laws and appears in all levels of courts.
She has more than a decade experience of working with development sectors including UN and UNDP projects. Ms. Poudyal previously worked as Gender and Human Rights Consultant to UN Women and was the National Gender & Social Inclusion Expert for UNDP in the past before joining RolHR, UNDP. She was also the Project Director of Legal Aid & Human Rights Project of Nepal Bar Association and actively involves and supports Nepal Bar Association via various activities. She has also served as Human Rights Officer in the Past to National Human Rights Commission. MS Poudyal has also participates with Nepali delegates on “Legislative Drafting and International Treaty Negotiation” at Advanced Institute of Legal Studies, London University and attended one-month Advanced Training Course on Intellectual Property Rights in Stockholm, Sweden, and Malaysia. Ms. Poudyal is a dynamic lawyer and trainer on various legal issues including gender, Women Empowerment, Employment and Labor, legal aid, human rights, and constitution and has presented papers in the national conferences and frequently writes in the law journals.
