Dr Chris’ goal is to provide educators, citizens and advocates for justice with the tools and dispositions with which to act in morally responsible and socially just ways against the hegemony of their daily lives, with critical self-determination, to transform schooling and society.
Dr Chris has been the lead applicant, co-applicant or co-investigator on world-leading research—funded by the European Commission, the UK’s Department for International Development (DFID), the Australian Research Council (ARC), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), The AIDS Research Foundation (amfAR), the Australian Federation of AIDS Organisations (AFAO) and the Spencer Foundation—totals more than $25 million (AUD).
