Head of Pro Bono at DLA Piper
Claire Donse leads DLA Piper's pro bono program in Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East and the UK. Claire also works with New Perimeter, DLA Piper's international pro bono initiative and nonprofit affiliate.
Claire's pro bono practice is focused in the areas of access to justice and capacity building. She establishes and oversees a diverse range of pro bono initiatives and builds partnerships and collaborates with NGOs, academic institutions, government agencies commercial clients and other joint venture partners to achieve project goals. Claire has experience developing and working on projects in a range of countries including in Bangladesh, Brazil, Timor Leste, Laos, Malawi, South Africa, Tanzania, Thailand, Turkey, Viet Nam and Zambia.
Since 2012 Claire has been working with BABSEACLE on a project developing curriculum for law students across South East Asia on the professional responsibilities of lawyers, including ethics, pro bono and access to justice.
