Gabrielle Redmond
Law Student at Queensland University of Technology
Gabrielle is a final year Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Creative Industries (Music) student at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT). Whilst studying Gabrielle has worked as a Law Clerk in one of Brisbane’s most eminent Barristers chambers.
In 2016 Gabrielle was part of a group of students who travelled to Myanmar as part of the BABSEA Clinical Legal Education (CLE) project. During her time in Myanmar Gabrielle taught CLE English to both staff and students. Gabrielle’s passion for human rights and social justice has seen her participate in numerous projects in Australia, including volunteering for the Brisbane Youth Service and managing the events for Amnesty International QUT.
Outside of university Gabrielle is a passionate musician and spends her free time volunteering at music and arts events. Following the release of her second album, Gabrielle continues to write music and lyrics and used these skills during her externship in Myanmar by writing the ‘CLE Song’ and as a way to interact with students and teachers and overcome language barriers.
