Mimi Zou
Associate Director, Centre for Rights & Justice at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK)
Mimi is Associate Director of the Centre for Rights and Justice and Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Law, CUHK. She also holds an honorary appointment at the Institute of Ageing (Faculty of Medicine), CUHK. For over 14 years, she has worked in corporate legal practice (King & Wood Mallesons and Linklaters), the International Labour Organization, and the public sector in Asia-Pacific and Europe. Mimi completed her Doctor of Philosophy and Bachelor of Civil Law at the University of Oxford. Mimi is a Solicitor of England and Wales and admitted to practice in New South Wales, Australia.
Mimi has been actively involved in various pro bono projects and clinical legal education throughout her academic career. She won the CUHK Faculty of Law’s inaugural Innovation in Teaching Award last year for an e-learning project on ‘Law and Ethics in an Aging Society’ (which can be viewed at: elderlawinhongkong.blogspot.com).
