Muhammad Joni Yulianto

Muhammad Joni Yulianto, born in Banyumas, 26 June 1980, has been actively defending the rights of those with disabilities since attaining his bachelor degree in Yogyakarta State University. Growing up as a person with visual disability strengthens his resolve to devote his life to fight for the equality of disability. In 2011, Yulianto, a father of three, attained his master’s degree in public administration from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore.
In 2008, he attained his master of arts degree in disability studies from Leeds University, UK. He has participated in various trainings such as organizational capacity building, monitoring and evaluation, as well as policy analysis, formulation, and evaluation.
Yulianto has held a number of key positions in civil society organization such as the Head of the Association of Indonesian Muslims with Vision Disability (TMI) for 2004-2006, Research Coordinator in the Disability Service Research Center of Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University in 2010, and Outreach and Capacity Building Coordinator in the Institute on Disability and Public Policy (IDPP).
