Suzanna Brickman

Suzanna Brickman works with DLA Piper’s domestic and global pro bono initiatives. In the United States, she supports DLA Piper's various Signature Projects, which are designed to commit significant resources to tackling major social issues, including education, access to justice, domestic violence, juvenile justice and serving veterans. She also works closely with New Perimeter, DLA Piper's nonprofit affiliate that provides long-term pro bono legal assistance in under-served regions around the world.
Suzanna is deeply committed to volunteer and pro bono legal service, Brickman has provided pro bono representation to clients in a range of areas, including access to justice, education, women's rights, immigration and asylum, and service to veterans. Prior to joining DLA Piper, Brickman was a litigation associate at Morrison & Foerster LLP where she was involved in a number of domestic and international pro bono projects. Her pro bono experience includes the representation of a refugee seeking asylum based on past persecution in her home country, advocating for the release of Central American women and children in an immigration detention facility, conducting comparative research regarding rape and sexual violence laws and prosecutorial best practices, and providing legal services to organizations serving veterans and low-income individuals.
