Tze-wei Ng
Deputy Director for Asia at PILnet
Tze-wei Ng is the Deputy Director for Asia based in Hong Kong. She is responsible for managing PILnet’s Hong Kong office and program and assisting the Director for Asia in coordinating other projects across the region. Ng was briefly a commercial litigation lawyer after pursing law and anthropology at the London School of Economics for her undergraduate studies. However, her long time interest in writing and China led her to become Beijing correspondent for South China Morning Post for nearly six years, where she focused much of her reporting on foreign relations, legal developments, and rule of law issues in China. She then decided to pursue an LLM at Columbia Law School, specializing in development and international human rights, and she joined PILnet in December 2013 as a Greater China Public Interest Fellow to start its Hong Kong office.
