Ni Luh Gede Yastini began her legal aid work in 2003. She was a public defender at LBH Bali, focusing on women and children issues. When she became a director of LBH Bali, she researched children in conflict with law, and she focused on promoting the rights of and providing legal assistance to juveniles. In November 2015, Yastini and one of her colleagues established their own firm, Yastini and Ranita Law Office, with a commitment to pro bono work involving not only assisting children in court, but also educating children on their rights and how to exercise their rights. Yastini is committed to sharing her experience working on children’s cases as well as the basic interests of children in conflict with the law.
